TCF Testimonies
I believe the title is pretty self-explanatory.
For me, I first heard about it on the Odyssey Scoop, in the various blog posts that Jacob would make about it. I started listening at the beginning of the Road Trip, so I can't brag about being one of those "originals," but I have been listening for quite some time. One thing that I've enjoyed doing with the episodes, especially with seasons 3 and 4, is listening to them all in chronological order. I've done that several times, and it's quite interesting. Anywho, what are your guys' stories? How long have you been listening, etc...

I was cruising Whitsend and found the link... Heard the first few episodes... Thats how I learnt(?) about entertainment addictions.

Re: TCF Testimonies
I've been listening for over a year and a half. I found out about TCF from the 2011 September 21st edition of the OAIOP. I watched the Communicate music video, thought it was stupid, looked up the podcast on iTunes. Downloaded the first five episodes. I heard the theme song, and I knew it was going to be a good podcast.
Re: TCF Testimonies
I was listening to an OAIOP, and I heard Bob say that some kid was trying to find Odyssey. I listened to an episode and didn't get it, but one day I was bored and I listened to a different episode. I was hooked ever since.

My sister, Kaida, showed me. Pretty lame testimony. =p

Re: TCF Testimonies
Alright, here is the full and complete story of how I found TCF. 3 years (maybe 4?) ago I was listening to the Saturday AIO shows on a local christian radio via iPod. So for whatever reason, I looked up AIO in the iTunes Store and found the OAIOP. I loved it, and it that got me into Odyssey again. After a while I got interested in podcasts and I looked up more AIO podcasts since I was a AIO fan once again. I found the Odyssey Scoopcast and listened to that. It was from the Scoop that I heard the promo for the Roadtrip Series promo. Since I had every other AIO podcast, and because the promo sounded really cool, and because I wanted to know where Odyssey was, I picked up the entire podcast on iTunes and put it on my iPod. Within like 2 weeks I had listened to the entire podcast. I was hooked. And that's my testimony. Bet most of you guys didn't even read it all.

Hm? What did you say?
Re: TCF Testimonies
My story is much like A.S. (myself)'s. Kaida told me to check it out and I did. I think Ben C. encouraged me a little as well.. but yeah.
I listened to the most recent episode and totally didn't get it. But I got really sick at school and for lack of something else to do, I listened to all of the episodes and got a little hooked =] .

Re: TCF Testimonies
Well, summer of 2008 I was interning at Focus on the Family and sleeping on Nathan Hoobler's couch. A friend of mine and fellow intern, Charlie Roth, were talking about starting a podcast, while we climbed The Incline in Manitou Springs, Colorado. We came up with a few ideas and began preproduction for a show called The Tadpole. I had been introduced to podcasting by Nathan, who had me produce and edit an episode of the Official podcast and upload it, while he was out of town. I was also introduced to the unofficial AIO podcast and the Whits End podcast by, then marketing director for AIO, Josh Shepherd. I honestly felt I could do a better show than those. I also wanted to make a "test" program, before Charlie and I launched our "big" show, just to make sure I had all the bugs worked out. I talked out the ideas with Nathan Hoobler and Josh Shepherd and they loved it and told me to go forward with it. So, I put it together and launched it on August 1st, 2008. I promoted it on thetoo.com and sent it to other podcasters. I also happened to be interning still during the 20th anniversary live show, and met hundreds of amazing fans who I told about my podcast! And who also were inspirations for the character of Ethan Daniels. To be honest, much of the first episodes were meant to antagonize the extreme fans of AIO, making light of AIO and insisting on being the biggest fan and all. But in the end, the show was embraced by many and has been a huge part of my life for 5 years...
And that is my story about how I found out about TCF. :-)

Huh, I thought I posted on here, but I guess I never got around to it.
I first heard of TCF on the OS, during the road trip, but I didn't listen to it. But later, I saw on the OS that it said "TCF Season 3 now airing!" and decided to give it a try. At first, I thought it was incredibly stupid. I listened again when Episode 36 came out, and have been hooked ever since.
