The Adventures of Ben & Andrew

Post by Nelson S. on Mon Apr 15, 2013 6:04 pm

I make audio skits based on two characters named Ben and Andrew.

Here's my Soundcloud profile: https://soundcloud.com/ben-chiles

My skits about Ben and Andrew:

1. My New Truck: https://soundcloud.com/ben-chiles/my-new-truck

2. The Carnival: https://soundcloud.com/ben-chiles/the-carnival

3. At Whit's End: https://soundcloud.com/ben-chiles/at-whits-end

(These were my first audio productions, so the acting and the audio production is a little poor. I've learned a lot in these past few months. I'll apply those skills to future skits) Very Happy

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I also have a couple songs I've made:

Celestial Sunset: https://soundcloud.com/ben-chiles/celestial-sunset-demo

Don't Have a Title Yet: https://soundcloud.com/ben-chiles/dont-have-a-title-yet

Ocean Underside: https://soundcloud.com/ben-chiles/ocean-underside

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm seeing a lot of "Soundcloud" up there. ^^ Lol

All of these songs and skits were made using Garageband. But I just recently upgraded to Pro Tools 10. So I hope to make some more better songs and productions soon!

When I make a skit or a new song, I'll post it here.

Hope you enjoy!

I am currently using a built-in MacBook Pro microphone. I think it's a rather good quality considering it's not the best microphone in the world. I'm saving up my money to get a Studio Projects C1 right now. I'm about $100 bucks short. But I've recently started working for my neighbor, so I'll hopefully be at the point where I can buy it real soon.

Also, here's a new skit I made with NarniaQA Guy. ;D

Hey people! I made a new song. It's a work-in-progress, but I'd like to see what you think of it.

If you have any opinions of anything about it, I'd appreciate your input.

Good work Ben! But like one of the comments said, in the middle the notes seem a little of timing.

Hello my fantabulous friends.

I finally have something new for you! YAY!
This is one of the audition scripts for Get in the Show. (Thanks, Shamwow) And while I totally loathe the whole idea of GITS, I did happen to like the Gum skit audition script. So I thought I would record it, and throw my own spin on it!

Hope you enjoy!

Leave me a comment! (On here or on SoundCloud) I'd love your thoughts and opinions!

You guys are awesome, God bless. Very Happy

Just listened to it! It was WAY better than the other auditions! I love the annoying kid's voice to! Overall, you should be the "GITS grand prize winner"!

Aww, haha, thanks, C-guy! Very Happy I appreciate that!

I would say it's one of my favorite skits I've made so far. Though I think I say that with most of the skits I make... Wink

"Oh, wait..." what? Have you made and kind of skits or something of the like? Or did I just interpret your comments incorrectly? Haha. And thank you for your kind words. It means a lot.

Wow, you really think so? Thanks! Quite a few people have said that as well. And I would put it on my phone, but I don't have a phone. tongue Haha! But I would, if I could, but I can't.

I'm thinking of making a new song for a remix contest. I'm not sure if I'm ready for a contest, even if I get last place, that's fine. But, I think I'll make a dubstep. Hopefully it'll work out. I haven't even started making it yet. So don't expect it too terribly soon. Heh. If my dubstep starts out like any other of my songs, it'll turn into a dance song really quick. It seems everytime I seek out to make a song other than dance, it turns into dance. -_- I have no idea why. I guess it's a good thing I like dance music. Haha

Well, I hadn't considered entering that contest. But I'm not quite experienced enough, so entering would be kind of pointless if I could put my time towards something else. But I might try to remix it in the future. Who knows? And I don't really care about the prize. Heh.
But I think Matthew Parker should win because his remix is just plain amazing. And everything he makes is amazing.

This is the contest I'm considering entering:

Not a ton of competition, but a fair amount of talent. So I think it's worth a try. :)The worst that can happen is last place and I'll have to hide my face in shame from everyone.... >.> Wink

Well take a guess at what my "dubstep" is turning into. -_- Well, thankfully it's not dance. It's actually turned into house. I think. I really need to learn how to define between house, progressive house, and dance. But the dubstep kind of flew out the window. :/ I'm not sure how to completely fill in all the empty spaces. In time I shall figure it out, but for now, I'll just stick with what I know. tongue I guess it's a good thing it's not dubstep, because all the other contenders have made dubstep. Haha.

I said dubstep a lot in this post...

EDIT: I FINISHED IT!! Enjoy it... please.

https://soundcloud.com/ben-chiles/jellyfish-seth-beatz-remixed

I enjoyed making it. It was probably the most fun I had making a song! Though I did feel like giving up a couple times. But I'm glad I kept with it!
